Chronic Pain and Unconditional Love

There are moments when boudoir stops being about photographs and becomes something much deeper. This session—captured by Rebecca Sigala—holds that kind of weight. Kara came into this experience carrying a lifetime of strength, confidence, and complexity shaped by living with endometriosis. Loving her body while feeling betrayed by it at the same time. Holding pride and grief in the same breath.

With a major surgery ahead—one that could finally bring relief—Kara chose now. Not later. Not “after.” She chose to honor her body as it is, before the change, as a declaration of unconditional love. This wasn’t about fixing anything. It was about recognizing that she was never broken to begin with.

What unfolded was a celebration of evolution. Of healing that deserves to be witnessed. Kara shared how quickly she felt comfortable, how proud she was of herself for stepping into this moment fully. And that matters. As women, we heal and heal—but we so rarely pause to see ourselves clearly in the process. To feel the pride that healing is meant to bring.

Nothing was missed in this session. Every part of Kara’s journey was honored. Her courage, her softness, her resilience. To be seen—truly seen—after years of carrying pain is powerful beyond words. Kara, you are beautiful in every sense of it.

“After years of healing, she was ready to be seen fully and completely.”
